This exhibition marks his final solo exhibition and presents a new collection of hand-built and Raku-fired vessels inspired by geological formations, landscape contours and gestural abstraction.\nThis exhibition will be David Roberts’ final one-person exhibition. Now in his 80th year, Roberts has chosen to conclude his exhibiting career while maintaining the high standards and physical intensity that have defined his work for more than five decades. \nThe exhibition will feature approximately ten large-scale coil-built and Raku-fired vessels, including both enclosed forms and open bowl forms. The work reflects Roberts’ long-standing engagement with landscape, water erosion patterns, geological contours and the gestural language of post-war Abstract Expressionism. Influences range from the Yorkshire Pennines surrounding his studio to the dramatic water flows and rock formations of Milford Sound, New Zealand\nThe exhibition at 27 Art House runs until 16th November.\nDavid Roberts Catalogue ( https://amyizat.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/David-Roberts-Catalogue-2026.pdf )\nArtist Biography\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavid Roberts has an international reputation as a leading practitioner in Raku ceramics.\nHis work is represented in many public and private collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Royal Scottish Museum, the Museum of Wales and the City of Geneva Collection.\nFrom 1985–1988 Roberts served as Chair of the Craft Potters Association UK.
